It has been reported that the areas that are more vulnerable to balanced nutrition are being worked on to solve the problem in a sustainable way.

The Regional Public Health Institute announced that the 31st week Public Health Emergency Management Center discussion has been held.

In the message of the Southern Ethiopia Regional Health Bureau Deputy Head and Program Manager Mr. Mena Mekuria, he emphasized that the work that is being done in harmony should be continued in order to reduce the pain and death of children, breastfeeding and pregnant mothers and to solve the problem in a sustainable way.

Mr. Mena Aklew and Aklew stated that the major problems of dietary imbalance are losing weight, being under expected weight, sneezing/diarrhea problems and anemia problems. He stated that a lot of efforts have been made in our region by formulating different policies and strategies to solve these problems in a sustainable way.

In order to reduce the pressure of the pest in the region, the spreading of bedbugs, chemical spraying of anti-pest is being carried out in selected pest areas. Mr. Mena emphasized that all types of pest control and control works should be continued together in all structures.

Mr. Agune Ashole, the director of the Southern Ethiopian Regional Institute of Public Health, stated that the environmental control work that is being done by engaging the society to control and prevent the spread of epidemic disease has a major role and it should be continued in every step.

The director of Ayizabmin said that the authorities should inform the death of mothers and infants on time, audit the cause of the problem and take corrective measures to improve the service delivery process.

Mr. Agune Aklewum has stated that in some areas of our region, the response and rehabilitation works of natural and man-made disasters are being carried out in harmony to prevent such incidents, early warning and emergency preparedness should be strengthened.

Vice director of the regional Institute of Public Health, Mr. Minetesnot Melka, has stated that EOC discussions should be strengthened in all structures and that support and monitoring will be done on the issue.

Mr. Mintesnot Ayayizewum has stated that there has been no measles outbreak reported in all areas of our region for the past three weeks and has emphasized that prevention and coordination work should be strengthened.

Finally, the meeting of the public health emergencies co-ordination center has ended by making an action schedule on the activities that should be done during the week.
